Description
The Field Engineer will work with and support field supervision and staff to provide surveying services and technical direction to ensure construction work complies with design drawings for the construction of quality projects, built safely, completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Furnish all activities of the project with the required layout
- Check and verify contract documents for dimension errors and omissions
- Ensure all layout control data comply with engineering standards
- Coordinate document inquiries with the Project Superintendent
- Coordinate checking procedures with the Quality Control person
- Assist Project Superintendent with the procurement of required layout equipment
- Assist Project Superintendent with securing staff required and coordinate their activities
Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Construction management work experience
- Proficient communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)
Work Requirements:
- Work performed at project jobsites
- Project jobsite conditions may be subject to rough terrain and inclement weather
- Perform a variety of duties which may change often
- Reliable method of getting to project jobsites
